This Privacy Policy explains how Game Companion collects, uses, and shares information. It is modeled after common SaaS privacy disclosures and tailored to our alpha program.

What we collect
Account data: email address, Discord handle, and invite metadata used to manage alpha access.
Voice and text inputs: voice commands, transcripts, and prompts you send to receive AI responses.
App usage and diagnostics: feature usage, performance metrics, and error logs to improve reliability.
Device and technical data: basic device identifiers, app version, and crash details.
How we use data
Operate the service, validate access, and deliver requested features.
Improve wake word accuracy, command handling, and AI response quality.
Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and communicate about alpha updates.
Data sharing
We share data only with service providers required to run Game Companion. We do not sell personal data.
Hosting and authentication: We use Supabase for account management and storage. Data sent to Supabase is tied to your Supabase user ID.
AI providers: We send prompts and transcripts to AI providers such as Google (Gemini) and OpenAI to generate responses.
Speech services: We send audio or transcripts to speech providers like Deepgram to enable transcription.
Providers receive a pseudonymous identifier (your Supabase user ID). We do not share your email address with these providers unless you include it in your inputs.
Data storage and retention
Conversation history and settings are stored locally on your device where possible. Online data is stored in Supabase.
We retain data only as long as needed for service operation, support, and product improvement. You can request deletion.
Your choices
You can limit the information you share through prompts and voice inputs. You can also request account deletion.
Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so please use caution when sharing sensitive data.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in regions where our providers operate, including the United States and Canada.
